My letter to Amy Klobuchar, 'Privacy Act Release Form' & Congressional Response
Edited and redacted version of the original message I sent to Minnesota’s State Senator Amy Klobuchar on September 20th, 2023.
This message was attached as a PDF file link due to various limitations imposed through the official messaging form / system of the US Senate. The only redaction’s and edits made relate to personal information or the names of others and are indicated by either replacement with ‘XXXXXX’ ‘——————’ or blacked out.
I receive the following reply from Senator Klobuchar right away which I assume is an automated ‘canned’ response
On October 3rd, 2023 a personal and direct response is emailed to me as well as my mom from Hanna Welch, a staffer at Amy Klobuchar’s Minneapolis office. Included is an ‘Information Release Form’ for me to fill out and return.
This reply occurred after my mom called up Senator Klobuchar’s office and asked how the hell all of this was being allowed to happen and explaining how hard I’ve been working on this, how much time, money, and dedication have been put into all of this and that she’s not just going to stand by and do nothing as her sons future is destroyed by these criminals (paraphrasing…but something like that…whatever she did it worked though..)
3 days later on October 6th, 2023 I return the requested ‘Information Release Form’ along with the requested information and make sure to abide by the outlined format that’s in bold print:
‘Please provide a detailed account of your situation and state how you would like Senator Klobuchar to assist you’
I receive the following email reply from Hanna Welch 4 days later - on October 10th, 2023
Two and a half hours later on October 10th, 2023 I reply with the following
The link I provide in the email at this point links to the following images I took while I was welding my prototype during late December 2021 to late January 2022 as well as some edits I added for clarification as well as the results of me searching the internet for information about the manufacturer of the device
On October 11th, 2023 I reply with the following three emails at 11:18 am, 11:39 am, and 12:07 pm
On October 12th, 2023 I decide to send physical copies of both the ‘Information Release Form’ itself in addition to posts I printed from my Substack page
The certified mail is marked by the USPS as being ‘Delivered’ the following day - October 13th, 2023
On October 16th, 2023 I send the following email to Hanna Welch
On October 23rd, 2023 I receive the following email reply from Hanna Welch
Although I am appreciative for the response and the help that is offered from Senator Klobuchar’s office I choose not to reply at all to this email as I believe the issue at hand to now be a much bigger one than simply the USPTO in terms of the many other ‘Federal Agencies’ involved and so this concludes my correspondence with her office.
I am also of the belief that if Senator Klobuchar is in fact going to help me out with the USPTO issue that it should now end up happening ‘automatically’ anyways just based on all of the information I have provided her with and so I do not believe that any additional correspondence is necessary at this point.
